Clinical Documentation for Massage Therapists (12-hour course description). This lecture and hands-on Clinical Documentation course provides clear, concise information so the massage therapist feels comfortable with the process of care, gathering pertinent patient information and deciding what assessments should be made, and creating supporting clinical documentation (Plan of Care with patient-focused goals, SOAP Notes, Progress Notes). Student will review legal and professional aspects for interacting with everyone involved in a patient’s care from the patient to RN case manager, insurance claims adjuster, and others.  Materials to bring to class: note-taking tools, your current assessment forms (optional), two sets of linens.  Twelve NCBTMB CE hours for licensed massage therapists upon successful completion.
